Guest Users

A "Guest User" is a user whose device has Lacework Edge installed via MDM, but the user has not authenticated via single-sign on. Guest users enables administrators to target functionality, such as DNS protection, Internet Access, and even limited access to private applications on managed devices.

This functionality needs to be explicitly enabled on the client.

  • To enable guest users on the client, see MDM deployment.
  • Each Policy has an option to "Target Guest Users?" checkbox that can be used to enable this functionality on a case by case basis.

Guest users are excluded from advanced security functionality, such as behavior modeling and alerting.
